Job Summary:
The Material Tech processes inbound and outbound raw material shipments of scrap to the Element 13 Reclamation facility, ensuring loads are accurately accounted for and properly directed to loading/unloading areas of the facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs inbound receiving and outbound shipment duties as follows:
  • Weighs trucks in/out as they arrive per schedule of deliveries
  • Directs truck drivers to proper loading/unloading areas of the facility
  • Verifies accuracy of paperwork records versus sales and purchase orders
  • Enters data into production systems to ensure accuracy of weights, shipments, etc.
  • Performs tests on incoming material to determine accurate weight and quality of inbound material (checks moisture, cleanliness, etc.)
  • Assists in reporting as needed, esp. for as concerning inventory control and management
  • Assists in maintaining scale accuracy
  • Provides information regarding receipts, weights, etc., as needed

Qualifications:
  • Required high school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred college level courses, 2 years of junior college or degree with emphasis on science. Q.C.
  • Shipping/Receiving experience is helpful.
  • Capable of handling all weather as may require extensive time outdoors testing materials

Constellium Muscle Shoals is a major aluminum sheet supplier for the packaging and automotive markets. The plant has ~1,200 employees and more than 112 acres under room, including five casting units, hot and cold rolling mills, and a slitting and finishing center. Muscle Shoals produces aluminum sheet for use in all three components of beverage cans (body stock, coated end stock, tab stock) and has the capacity to produce over 1 billion pounds per year of finished aluminum coils. The plant also produces aluminum automotive coils to be processed at our CALP line in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Muscle Shoals’ world-class recycling center is able to recycle the equivalent of 20 billion aluminum cans per year.
